RDF AND DAILYMOTION SIGN ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING DEAL

RDF, a leading media company, and Dailymotion, the largest independent online video entertainment company, have announced an agreement to bring original content to Dailymotion’s audience of 30 million.

Under the terms of the deal, RDF USA will provide Dailymotion with eight original programs/concepts. These concepts will be conceived with an eye towards brand integration. Senior Creative Director Danny Passman, along with a team of Dailymotion executives with years of television development experience at Time Warner and MTV Networks, will bring these web series to life. Together, Dailymotion and RDF USA will share in the revenue from online distribution as well as from any television derivatives.

The partnership highlight’s Dailymotion’s recently announced strategy to implement a programmed approach with both user generated content (UGC) and original content.

“With their proven track record in both television and digital media, RDF is the right partner for us to collaborate with on bringing compelling and original content to our US audience,” said Joy Marcus, Managing Director of Dailymotion in the US. "This deal is a significant milestone in our unique programming strategies.

We get access to a huge audience and they get professionally produced material from one of the biggest producers in town. The result is great content and eyeballs lined up to watch it.”

Benator and Chris Coelen, CEO of RDF USA, will serve as executive producers on all web series.
